In a press release with CNBC on July 7, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) organization announced their $175 million partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com for 10 years effective by the next featured fight.

UFC President Dana White talked about how perfect the partnership was, saying, ‘This is a partnership between two companies that are the best at what they do. No company has done more to grow the popularity of combat sports than UFC, and now we’re one of the biggest sports brands on the planet.’

Additionally, White talked about the potential effects the sponsorship could have in the future. ‘We can help Crypto.com reach more people around the world through the strength of our brand.’

On the other hand, Crypto.com CEO and co-founder Kris Marszalek also expressed his thoughts on the sponsorship deal, saying that the partnership was a historic moment. ‘This is just the beginning of a long relationship with UFC, and we’re looking forward to what we will build together.’

The official design for the fight kit features a black, grey and gold shirt with the white Crypto.com logo in the middle and the official UFC logo in gold print on the upper right.

Other details or terms of the partnership have not been disclosed, but users can learn more about it in the upcoming UFC events to be held this year.

Crypto.com is one of the most popular crypto trading platforms in the world and is also the largest by trading volume. Their partnership with UFC has brought two giants together, introducing professional fighting to the world of cryptocurrencies.

The deal is just one of the many partnerships crypto platforms have made with sports companies within the year. The Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA have also bagged a collaboration with cryptocurrency StormX. Meanwhile, FTX Trading Limited has also secured a partnership with the MLB.

More crypto platforms nowadays are looking to enlist popular sports companies to promote their services to the fans of the sporting world.
